Trinity Byrnes jumped out to a strong 28-7 halftime lead behind a powerful running game led by Reggion Bennett. But the Lions got hot on offense in the 3rd quarter and cut the Titans lead down to 7 after two rushing TDs, the first by Jacob Walker and the second by Zack Blackwell. With the score 28-21 in favor of Trinity Byrnes, the Titans struck again. This time on a 1 yd QB sneak by Caleb Rogers to push the lead up to 35-21 with 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. The Lions used a balanced attack thru the air and on the ground. Mikeal Sullivan hauled in a 25 yd TD pass from Jeb Bradford with 6 minutes left in the game. The Lions defense forced a punt with less than four minutes remaining. AC went on a 7 play 65 yd drive capped off by a 20 yd TD run from Jacob Walker with 1:33 remaining making the score 35-34. The Lions opted to go for a two point conversion, and Walker delivered again, scoring over left tackle to take the lead 36-35. The Titans put together a quick drive to get into scoring position, but missed a 53 yd FG as time expired. Bennett finished with 198 yards rushing, and Terrence Vandiver led the Lions thru the air with 5 catches for 115 yards.
